Network service provider Advantage Group from Capelle aan den IJssel acquires Advisie Computer Consultants (ACC) from Soest. The activities of ACC will continue after the take-over under the name Avantage Managed Services from the office in Capelle aan den IJssel.
ACC, located in Soest, has separated itself from Advisie Automatisering in 2008. The company decided it wanted to concentrate completely on delivering service for products of Exact, in which it is a big player on the market.
Avantage acquires Advisie Computer Services from the company Cugat, property of ACC-director Govert van Driel and several investors. Van Driel is involved at ACC since October 2008. Avantage and Van Driel got in contact before the summer of 2012. These meetings led to the take-over on 26th of November 2012.
ACC delivers ICT-solutions for small and medium-sized companies with fifty to thousand workplaces. They employ 35 people. ACC realizes the solution by designing, delivering, implementing, maintaining and managing the network and system infrastructures. A striking project was the implementation of a managed LAN on board of the SS in Rotterdam.
Less dependent
Motivation for the take-over was the wish of Avantage to be less dependent on short-term ICT-projects and to get a bigger part of the revenue from the long-term agreements with customers for workspace management, says Director Kees Rijkhoff.
Avantage has about eighty employees and delivers services in the area of network infrastructure, both project-based as in the area of maintenance. It does ICT-projects with partners such as Microsoft, Novell, Citrix, Evault, Dell, HP, RES and VMware. The company is active in education, healthcare, financial service, trading, industry, media, construction and local authorities.
