Impulse, founded in 1994 and located in Oldenzaal, supplies software to a wide range of healthcare institutions, mostly in mental healthcare. The healthcare information system USER allows healthcare institutions to automate the primary care process and to support the financial administration and billing.
Impulse employs about ninety people. Some examples of customers are Kentalis, GGZ Centraal, Elkis, Mediant, GGD Amsterdam, Pompe Stichting, Antes and the Custodial Institutions Agency (DJI) – an agency of the Ministry of Security and Justice.
