Hardware seller Infotheek Group takes over the network specialist Network2Day from Gelderland. The company from Ede designs, implements and maintains IP-infrastructures for data, voice over IP and video. Network2Day is a partner supplier of HP and still operates under its own name. Financial details of the take-over have not been revealed.
Stephan Derksen, Director of Infotheek Enterprise Solutions: ‘Network2Day is the HP network specialist of the Netherlands. With the take-over we can support our customers at the highest level with business support.’ Infotheek expects to benefit of the specialisms in the area of networks, data centre design and installation of Wi-Fi-networks. Infotheek CEO Jordy Kool: ‘This take-over is in line with earlier take-overs. We intent to take a leading position in delivering hardware, software and services regarding networks, servers and storage.’ The current director of Network2Day Robert van Kasteren remains involved in the company. He expects the company will have more possibilities under the wing of Infotheek. ‘Traditionally the market knows us as network experts, but a lot of customers have the need for advice and supply in the area of storage and servers. The combination of volume and knowledge offers new market opportunities according to Kasteren.
Abroad
Infotheek is also looking abroad – like Barcelona (Spain), Mechelen (Belgium), Böblingen (Germany), Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm and Göteborg (Sweden), Milan (Italy), Milton Keynes (England), Burgas (Bulgary) and Warsaw (Poland) – for extending its services.
