Legal service provider BSA Group is acquired by SRK Group. BSA handles claims regarding asbestos on behalf of the ‘Instituut Asbestslachtoffers (IAS)’ and vehicle damage claims on behalf of the Dutch government based on the ‘Omslagstelstel Rijkswagenpark’. BSA also handles wage damage claims for employers and personal injury claims for individuals.
BSA was founded in 1956 as a government institution and was privatised at a later stage. Entrepreneurs Michel Roumen and Eric Joosten acquired all shares in BSA in 2007. They have grown the company from a (semi) governmental intitution to a commercial legal services provider for more than 1000 employers. BSA handles 1050 personal injury claims and 850 recourse claims per year, for over 1000 clients from various industry sectors. Since 2010 BSA handles approximately 4000 car damage claims for the Dutch government each year. BSA will continue to operate in from its current office location in Zoetermeer. With the acquisition of BSA, SRK Group will offer a broad range of legal services with 120 employees.
