Trusted M&A advisors Hogenhouck guide Infotheek into their next acquisition

The acquisition of IT supplier Centralpoint.nl is for Infotheek, supplier of IT devices, the second acquisition in a short period of time.

With the latest acquisition, Infotheek is expanding to become market leader in the Benelux. The combined turnover amounts over EUR 700 million. The company employs around 900 employees across 14 countries. The proposed acquisition is now at the Consumer & Market Authority (ACM) for approval.

Centralpoint.nl, founded in 2001, has become the largest online business IT supplier in the Netherlands with a turnover of EUR 120 million. Infotheek takes over the shares of venture capital investor Greenfield Capital Partners from Naarden and the founder. Financial details have not been brought out.

“With the acquisition we pull the line we started with Altor (who participated in the company since last year),” said Jordy Kool, Infotheek’s topman. “With our online knowledge and experience, we provide our shared customer base with wider online access to circular IT. As a result, we reach a larger target group to extend the lifespan of more IT products. “

Well-known M&A consultants
Upon acquisition, Infotheek returned to a number of trusted M & A consultants. Again, the Hague law firm BarentsKrans and the tax advisors of EY were called on. In recent years, BarentsKrans has been involved in virtually all acquisitions that the company has made. This also applies to EY and trusted advisor M&A consulting firm Hogenhouck.

According to Infotheek, the acquisition is in the consolidation trend on the European IT market. Infotheek recently hit big by acquiring industry associate Scholten Awater from Nijmegen. Last year, Infotheek added Added Dimension, Global Hardware Solutions (GHS) and Core10 to the Leiden acquisition machine. Hogenhouck was during these take overs Infotheek’s trusted advisor.
